What we do:
We collaborate with arts education leaders, and lead statewide advocacy efforts,
to ensure every student in Washington State experiences
an equitable arts education.

  • Building Community

We are building relationships and inclusive conversations where students and school staff can discuss what equitable arts programming would look like for for their communities. We understand that needs, values, and opportunities vary throughout the state, and these conversations are key to ensuring relevant, meaningful, sustainable arts access.

Want to connect with our community?
Join one of our upcoming events; Volunteer as a Community Ambassador; Celebrate a local school with an ArtsEd Spotlight; Schedule a visit with your school; Interact with us on social media, and share our work with others in your region!

  • Supporting our Schools

Much of our work is done behind the scenes with educators, administrators, students, and education organizations to support Washington's variety of schools, communities, and art forms. We use feedback from these stakeholders to build requested resources and to plan upcoming trainings.

Our team is also available to present at conferences relating to equity and arts education. To inquire about professional development trainings, email office@artsedwashington.org.

  • Advocating for Equity

Our team members regularly advocate with decision makers at all levels: schools, districts, and state! We dig deep into how funding, legal requirements, and proposed policies are impacting students' arts experiences and overall success in school.

And since YOUR voice matters to decision makers, we also offer advocacy trainings for students, educators, administrators, and arts advocates!

Many of our advocacy resources are available for download, and for viewing on our Youtube Channel. You can also email office@artsedwashington.org to schedule an Artivism Training for your team or school staff.
