Arts Facilitator
Tacoma Public Schools

Lynn Eisenhauer has been an arts educator in public schools throughout western Washington for the past 30 years. She has taught in all four areas of the arts, and has instructed students from kindergarten through high school. Her primary focus has always been as a high school choral director, but she has also taught dance, drama, black & white photography, band, orchestra, and has directed many musical theatre productions.

This is Lynn’s fifth year as the Arts Facilitator for Tacoma Public Schools. She provides professional development for K-12 arts teachers, oversees all district arts activities and programs, and serves as the district arts liaison to the community. Lynn has served on the Advisory Committee to the Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education program. She is a member of the OSPI Arts Assessment Leadership Team and the steering committees for the International Children’s Festival and Creativity Matters Summit. Lynn also advises the board for the Hoffman Center for the Arts on the northern Oregon coast.

Lynn believes that by teaching students to create, learn, and respond through the arts, we help to strengthen their understanding, and encourage them to explore their world in innovative ways.
