Bryce Van Parys is a fourth-generation Washington native and a freelance double bass musician. He has performed with many orchestras in the Puget Sound area, including the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra, Tacoma Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Sinfonietta, and Seattle Symphony Recording Orchestra – Film Score.

Since 1997, Bryce has also served as the General Manager for Hammond Ashley Violins. During his tenure, Hammond Ashley has become the largest violin family instrument dealer on the west coast. Bryce is an advocate for the musical arts, using his position at Hammond Ashley to reach out to public and private schools, universities, orchestras, youth symphonies, and private teaching studios; he also created Hammond Ashley Studios, a recital and private lesson venue, to enhance education and performance on the Eastside.

Bryce also serves on the board of Noteworthy, a non-profit organization that supports the Evergreen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Issaquah School District’s advanced inter-district high school orchestra. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from Central Washington University.
