Art Goes to School: Building a Community of Thinkers Summit

February 9, 2013 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join Seattle Art Museum for the 2nd Annual Art Goes to School: Building a Community of Thinkers Summit. This free, one-day professional development opportunity is designed for educators, parents, community members, cultural organizations, students, funders, policy makers and artists to join this critical conversation focused on providing creative learning for all students. Learn from national experts, engage in interactive workshops, gain tools and resources and share your voice at this community event.

Focusing on issues of assessment, evaluation and collective impact, the Summit will center on three guiding questions:

  • What is my role in 21st century student learning?
  • How can my organization make a profound and practical difference in the lives of young people by collaborating with schools both during and after school hours?
  • How do arts organizations working in and out of the school day assess student learning in the arts and evaluate their programs’ overall impact and effectiveness?

Space is limited; register by January 25, 2013.
