Description of Project:
Students apply a formal written responding process to a work of art. (Teach in multiple sessions.)

Problem to Solve:
How can the viewer infer meaning from visual art?

Focusing on formal elements, historical/cultural aspects, an imagined narrative, or personal experience in art can create different levels of meaning.
